Add some noise. Choose Image>Noise>Add... from the menu bar. Adjust the settings to:
Bryce Only: Drag the Basic Noise button in Bryce to the right to add a lot of noise. The only problem is you will have to select the lowest level (black) & erase all the extra noise that is away from the lines to clean up.

Chose Selections > Select None to remove the selection, then Copy & Paste the image back into Bryce. |

Clip the bottom bracket to remove the black base. Raise the bracket high enough so that some of the red mask color shows up between the lines. Keep some of the splotches around the lines. These will turn into leaves in the next step. |

Change the Grid size to 128 (normal) & exit the Terrain Editor. |
